Ringdale joins the Payment Acceptance & Security Conference (PASC) to address GDPR compliance challenges for print and document processes
In the rollout of the General Data Protection Regulation, the Ringdale team will be meeting with IT executives from the UK’s leading higher education institutions at PASC to discuss the importance of including print and document processes within their IT security and compliance strategy.
Key discussion topics include:
- Assessment of print security threats – Reviewing how payment data and Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is used across digital and paper processes to uncover high risk areas
- Restricting access to data – Ensuring access to PII is tracked and only available to authorised personnel. Encryption options to prevent access to data while at rest and in motion
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP) for paper based processes – Setting policies to avoid data breaches and automated detection tools for potential security violations
- Enterprise-grade mobile print security – Securing workflow for faculty staff, students and guest users to enable printing from all PC, laptops, mobile phones and tablet devices
- Total network protection – Applying consistent security measures across the entire printing environment, including all print devices, makes and models
"Each year the higher education sector in the UK processes over £10bn in student payments, meaning that security of customer data is paramount. However an alarming 71% of IT executives have not yet factored office printing into their GDPR strategy. The Ringdale team will be meeting with delegates to share the latest on print and document security and how to address regulatory compliance requirements “says Eric Crump, Director of Strategic Alliances, Ringdale.
PASC will be held 23rd – 24th May at the Celtic Manor Resort, Wales. For event information and how to register to attend the GDPR workshop "Mitigating data loss through printing" at 11.10am, 24th May visit the PASC web site
