Ringdale enhances its FollowMe® Embedded platform for Xerox
Burgess Hill, United Kingdom, 24th April 2013 – Ringdale, a leading provider of secure document output management solutions, announces a significant enhancement to their FollowMe® Embedded for Xerox’s Extensible Interface Platform (EIP). The enhancement enables the FollowMe Embedded client to use the FollowMe USB attached identification (ID) card readers in supported Xerox EIP enabled multifunction printers (MFPs), without requiring additional controller hardware.
Ringdale and Xerox deliver this improved integration to help organizations minimize deployment costs and leverage their existing technology investments; with integration offered for most identification technology, ranging from Radio Frequency ID (RFID) cards, magnetic swipe cards and barcodes.
Ringdale’s FollowMe Embedded for Xerox provides users with an all-in-one solution for copy, print, e-mail, fax and scan services. The intuitive user interface enables integrated single sign on (SSO) authentication and features FollowMe Printing, which helps organizations reduce costs, protect valuable data and optimize workflows.
“The enhancement of the FollowMe Embedded for Xerox makes the solution even more affordable and flexible to deploy” said Jan Bollmann, Vice President of Engineering, Ringdale. “FollowMe's ID reader technology can now be attached directly via the USB port of the supported Xerox EIP MFPs, reducing hardware costs and providing seamless integration with the existing infrastructure.
